Doubts

Liberty by Salyu

I love the lyrics for this song.

I push my way through all the doubts that have piled up within you and reach my hands out towards the inner core of them all; Ah… come to my realm that you may meet me, now, because the two of us haven’t started anything yet

Because of these frenetic days pushing me forward on my back, I spilt these promises that I’ve been carefully carrying; If I could pick them all up and gather them together, I wonder if I could create wings from those fragments?

The morning arrives, and I saw eye to eye with my frustrations, so that they may teach me just how much there is in the way of the meaning of living

And nobody knows of those eyes of mine that lie in the inner core of those doubts that have piled up obscenely

I throw away that aged compass that no longer points towards anywhere within the sea of my heart

I want to chase after my fate, so that I may meet you; This sky will not suffice anymore – and I stood stock-still

Ah… my screams, brimming over, shine light upon me – and the shadow of the freedom that’s just started grows; Ah… I will have to overcome the discomfort I’ve grasped within my hands if I am to liberate myself…

And I can find air currents to bring me high up into the air, higher than the place where the winds blows strongly

Ah… I want to love these doubts that I’ve protected till now – and those eyes that have been waiting in the inner core now open

Ah… my screams, brimming over, shine light upon me – and I liberate myself; Ah… I shall go to my realm that I may meet you

A Million Little Pictures

Few months ago I got a random link from my friend Scott to a photo project by Art House Co-op called "A Million Little Pictures." The idea was to have 1000 people from around the world register to get a disposable camera. Then the 1000 people from around the world will document their lives within 24 frames, send the prints back and in late September there will be an exhibition of all the photos. You walk by so many people everyday and there is no way you will get to meet every one of them. With photo projects like this, you're allowed to see 24 frames of the photographers. Thats pretty damn cool.

Here for 4 of the photos from my roll of film.

The High Line

Last month Steph wanted to go check out the High Line and so we went. A side note, after experiencing the Highline we went to a friend's Harry Potter movie viewing party. I brought canned sardines and bread. It's nice to actually see the evolution of the High Line from when I saw first it back in 2003 to now. The city definitely need more of these, improve on things and not tear them down to build ugly things.

There was a very long line when we got there. Felt like we were going on a popular ride in Disneyland. Waiting in line

It was cool to walk underneath the buildings. HighlineHighline

So before they had cleaned up the High Line, there were wild flowers and grass growing. They decided to keep the wild flowers in the High Line, thought that was cool. HighlineHighline

Sunadokei

Sunadokei (Hour Glass)It's funny how no one is trying to save the VHS from dying but there will always be support for film/polaroid and vinyl records. Somehow film makes the ordinary or imperfection, special. Maybe it's the vintage look. Here are some random shots I took while walking around Willamsburg and later ending up in a beer garden. Current listen Sunadokei "I wish time would just pass like this With nothing changing I don't want to notice That everything's being tested, even my freedom

It surely comes to everyone, without exception Even if I entrust my body to the maze The disappearing scenery Taught me that We're side by side Make on break, make amends And then it's all gone "
