Wow I was pretty impressed with The Brooklyn Local event by City Harvest. The event was to raise money for City Harvest (City Harvest works with greenmarkets and restaurants to take their food that usually would go to waste and gives them to the needy).
I was impressed by how organized the event was and it never felt too crowded even with the 75 local food vendors. Looking forward to next year.

This past Sunday was the 2nd Annual

After 7 years of talking about making the trip out to Montauk, I finally made it! I think what I really wanted to do what to see the lighthouse and also to just get out of the city. Anh, Howard and I started our trek around 8am and didn't get to Montauk till 11am. First thing we did was to get some breakfast then followed by some beach time. I hate the beach and sand actually but it wasn't so bad. I pretty much laid under the umbrella and read. After the beach we drove over to the lighthouse and hiked around there. Before going back to the city, we had dinner at a restaurant called 668.
